With just 3 days until we board our first flight heading to Kenya, it’s time to seriously consider packing!
For those who are interested, our flights go: Charlottetown-Toronto, Toronto-Amsterdam, Amsterdam-Nairobi. It’s actually a pretty direct route…considering we are going halfway around the world! We leave in the evening P.E.I. time and arrive in the evening, the following day, Kenya time.
For my packing – I have a few extra challenges. I have 52 soccer balls — donated by the Town of Stratford recreation department and from KIA. Then, I have a few books. And for our personal belongings we have our backpacks. We have a packing list, of the essentials for our 2 weeks in Kenya. I’m not a light packer at the best of times. For me, it will be a good exercise in living more simply. All good!
It is hard to believe that this time next week we will be at the guesthouse in Kenya, after spending a day at Buuri Secondary School.
We have many great adventures ahead. We invite you to stay tuned to our blog for as many updates as we can manage! i am told that uploading photos and posting can be a slow process. But we will do the best we can.
Asante…and as they say in Kenya…Karibu….welcome.
